Jessica Douglas is celebrating her latest opportunity to progress after a well-deserved promotion within On Medical 24/7.
Now a Team Leader, Jessica has worked tremendously hard, and effectively, during her time at the company since starting out five years ago.
That opportunity came after a family recommendation, and she hasn’t looked back!
“I heard about On Medical being a good company to work for from a family member who worked here,” she said.
“They told me about a new role available in rehabilitation, I felt this was a good opportunity to take and I am glad I did take this opportunity because the progression I have made in five years has been great.
“Since October 2015, I’ve gone from the rehab team to a senior position and now Team Leader. I feel excited and very grateful about being given this opportunity; I can’t wait to progress as a Team Leader.”
Much has changed since her first day nearly six years ago, with On Medical growing quickly, dealing with a pandemic and going 24-hours-a-day, all within a short space of time.
But has Jess changed too?
“Certainly,” she continued.
“I felt I was very shy when I first started as this was a big change from my previous job. But I have definitely come out of my shell since.
“I felt very welcomed within my first week by everyone in the company. I enjoy working with amazing people throughout the business and feel we have created a good team in Rehabilitation.
“Working for On Medical is such a good opportunity, with different pathways to go down, giving us opportunities to grow in the company. Seeing how well the company has formed and grown over the years has been amazing.”
Celebrations may not be exactly as she’d like but Jess remains optimistic!
“Does another takeaway count?” she joked when discussing how she celebrated her promotion.
“I will certainly celebrate once restrictions are lifted, and the restaurants and pubs open again!”
“Jess’s commitment and desire to progress within the business ensured she successfully completed a trial as Team Leader, which made my decision to make this a permanent move, an easy one. Huge well done to Jess.”
