Covid-19 Update

Firstly, to start our latest Covid-19 update, we hope you and your staff are all healthy and have managed to navigate this extraordinary period of time.

Following on from recent developments, and the latest government advice, please see below the latest update from On Medical.

Capacity

We now have the capacity for 100% of our staff to be working from home. A number of our team have been working remotely for some time now, initially focusing on those most vulnerable and at risk.

This number will be increasing over the coming days to ensure everyone’s safety and protection, and we envisage everyone to be out of the office (save for collecting the post) by Thursday, March 26th.

Please be assured that all those working from home have full capability to work, with full system and hard telephone access ensuring minimal disruption to service.

Please feel free to contact us as you normally would with any queries.

Medical Appointments

As expected, the number of venues available for medical examinations has reduced, resulting in a number of appointment cancellations (either by the expert themselves or the client).

This week, with examination venue availability increasingly restricted, we have refrained from immediately re-booking cancelled appointments in order to avoid frustrating your clients with further potential cancellations.

Yesterday, MedCo lifted the ban on virtual appointments, offering a temporary solution to this problem. We have already been in communication with our panel and have virtual appointment venues set up within our system, ready to instruct.

This will be done with strict adherence to the conditions stipulated by MedCo and only in cases where it is agreed by both the client and yourselves.

Should you wish for your clients not to be provided with virtual appointments, please get in touch to let us know and we will look to book a face-to-face appointment where and when it is safe to do so. We are also able to extend this service to non-MedCo matters if required.

We appreciate that these are very worrying times for both our industries and our clients. We wish to assure you that On Medical is equipped to continue to provide a professional service to both throughout and wish everyone the very best through this challenging period.

Virtual Physiotherapy

We are able to provide Virtual Physiotherapy to clients if required as a result of having 14 in-house HCPC qualified physiotherapists and an extensive virtual panel.

This can be to complete a course of face-to-face treatment that may have subsequently been cancelled as a result of COVID-19 or to commence a new set of treatment sessions to mitigate your clients’ claim.

Our qualified physiotherapists will provide the session remotely and in compliance with Data Protection and GDPR guidelines.

We are happy to talk to you about temporary commercial arrangements with regard to this.

Thank you for reading this Covid-19 update. We truly hope you all remain safe and able to work whilst the country weathers this storm.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require anything further on top of this Covid-19 update.
